Technical cookies and preferences
Technical cookies manage and protect the session. Website checks show session cookies with system-generated names: the duration shown by the browser is “Session”.
The cookie yootheme_consent stores consent choices so they do not need to be requested on every page. It is persistent; in the browser checked, expiry corresponds to approximately one month. Actual expiry can be viewed in browser settings and may change when the choice is updated.
Optional statistics: Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics is enabled only after consent to the “Statistics” category, through the native YOOtheme manager in Basic mode. After refusal, Analytics cookies are not created in the test carried out on the website.
With consent, the cookies detected were _ga and _ga_4DHMLXFWQP, used to distinguish browsers and maintain Analytics session state. Google documents a default duration of up to two years, renewable during visits. The browser may shorten it: Chrome applies a limit of 400 days when the cookie is set. Cookie expiry is separate from the retention of user and event data in Analytics, which is set to two months.
Analytics processes online identifiers and information about visits and interactions. This data is not all anonymous. Google Signals, ad personalisation and granular location and device data collection are disabled. The website does not use Google Maps. Consent settings may show a Marketing category: its presence does not indicate that advertising campaigns are active on the website.
Changing or withdrawing consent
You can choose, refuse or change optional categories through Cookie preferences, also available in the footer. Withdrawal applies to subsequent use; it does not automatically delete data already collected. You can delete stored cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies, including technical cookies, may limit some website functions.
Providers and further information
Technical services are hosted by Infomaniak in Switzerland. Google Analytics may involve processing abroad, as described in the Privacy Policy, which also lists recipients, retention and rights. Amazon and social media links open external services with their own privacy notices.
